I met Benoît when I first moved to Revelstoke, British Columbia. He instantly impressed me with his stunt abilities by jumping off the roof of our house on a GT Snowracer while not spilling his cup of wine. A year and a half later we were chatting about how much fun the local music festival was and he told me he had just met this awesome girl there. I got to watch their love grow and witness their astonishing teamwork trying to get Benoît’s wine bar dream underway. These days, among other projects they’re enjoying raising their two beautiful children. It was an absolute delight to be at the Bussières Castle in Auvergne near Vallon-En-Sully, France for their wedding last saturday. Being hosted at the Doucet family’s history-filled house among cousins and parents was the best way to enjoy the weekend long event which included two baptisms and a wedding. I am grateful to have had the responsibility to capture these beautiful days and to have had the chance to spend some time with two lovely families!

J’ai rencontré Benoît au tout début de mon séjour à Revelstoke, Colombie-Britannique. Il en fallu peu pour que je soies impressionné par ce sportif français qui sauta de mon toit sur notre “GT Snowracer” sans renverser une goute de vin. Un an plus tard lors que nous discutions du festival de musique local, il me disait qu’il venait de s’y faire charmer par une femme exceptionnelle. J’ai pu voir leur belle relation grandir et les voir se battre ensemble pour réaliser le rêve de Benoît d’ouvrir un bar à vin. Ces jours cis, ils se concentrent sur leurs adorables enfants Théo et Nova. Il n’y a pas de mot pour décrire à quel point ce séjour au château Bussières; un domicile rempli d’histoire en Auvergne près de Vallon-En-Sully en France. Je suis si reconnaissant d’avoir été accordé la responsabilité d’enregistrer cette fin de semaine ainsi que d’avoir rencontré et apprécié la compagnie de deux familles.
